These are a few of the specials in my life.....people....pets....places...there are lots of photos so you'll need to scroll down....I'll be adding photos on a regular basis....there is SO MUCH that is special in life!
The is the in-the-flesh picture of our 1st grandchild - Kathryn Olivia. She was born on July 11, 2008 - 7 lbs 9 oz - 20 inches long. She is the most beautiful baby in the world! Just ask her proud Grandma & Grandpa...and Mom & Dad & Uncle Bill & Great Uncle Ed!
This is our very first grandchild - she's due in 2 weeks! We can't wait! Soon there will be a REAL photo....it is amazing what technology can do these days....this is a 3D ultrasound image. Now - isn't she the most beautiful baby you have ever seen!!
This is Famous Seamus O'Toole....he's our parti-color Cocker Spaniel baby - his coloring is chocolate & white....and he has green eyes....
This is my extra "Mom" - my dear friend, Helen. She's the reason I've now got my studio....she got me hooked on lampwork about 5 years ago and the rest is history! She's a talented lampworker and makes the greatest fish - she would deny this but she would be lying. We're in my studio - this was one of those rare days that it was clean!
One of the greatest trips in my life was with my daughter - I went to visit her in England and we went to Ireland. This photo was taken on Thanksgiving Day 2004 at The Fisherman's Cot outside of Exeter, England (she was just finishing a 6 month rotation at the hospital in Exeter). This water and bridge are the actual Bridge Over Troubled Water of Simon & Garfunkel fame....but WAIT....that must make me....OLD!
My Susan & me at O'Conner's Pass - western shore of Ireland - east of Galway - lots of wind in our curly Irish girl hair!
Here's to good Irish women!
May we know them....
May we be them.....
May we raise them!!
This is our son, Bill. He's a Chemical Engineer with a serious wood addiction. The boards you see have become part of the family "inside" joke....when his sister, Susan, was graduating from college he asked her what she wanted as a gift. Her reply was "a table for my dining room made by you"....well....10 years later, the table was done and in her dining room.
Here's the love of my life, John, realizing one of the greatest dreams of his life - to play a round of golf at St. Andrew's in Scotland.....I was so excited for him and busy crying with joy that I almost missed the picture! The day was QUITE foggy - but it didn't slow him down a bit....I think he had radar!
No trip to Scotland is complete until you've gone on a Whiskey Tour....well....what can I say....here's my John at the end of the tour. It was such fun....truly a trip of a lifetime....we'll never forget it.
Here's the whole family - daughter Susan with Bumble the cat, brother Ed, sister Lynne, son Bill and husband John. This was a WONDERFUL holiday for our family. |
